Position:  Product Owner/Business Analyst - Platform Team

The Product Owner/Business Analyst is a key role within our Platform Team supporting business growth and product transformation. In this role, you will participate in projects to extend & enhance our line of SaaS recurring revenue & customer management solutions. The PO/BA will be essential in gathering business and system requirements for multiple projects in the development pipeline, including Implementations and Professional Services. This position is an exciting opportunity for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about solving problems. The PO/BA will be part of a SCRUM software engineering team and should have an understanding of Agile methodology. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Software Engineers and clients to understand and define business needs
  • Gather and analyze requirements to create user stories and mock-ups that accurately represent the customer needs and priorities
  • Ensure business value is defined in all product designs and development plans
  • Specify acceptance criteria and user stories for features and ensure delivery of requirements that meet/exceed business needs
  • Prepare mock-ups and presentations for Executive Leadership Team and internal teams to communicate product features and functionality
  • Manage product backlog and ensure proper documentation and release notes have been provided to Client Success, Training & Enablement and Sales teams
  • Ensure proper documentation of product capabilities and manage the roll-out of product details to internal team and external clients
  • Attend requirements gathering meetings with customers, presenting the product capabilities, gathering requirements and identifying gaps

Knowledge and Skills

Benefits and Perks

  • 1-3 years of experience as a product owner or business analyst, ideally with software engineering teams
  • Experience uncovering and gathering technical and business requirements from end-users
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM development environments. Experience with Agile/PM management tools like JIRA and Smartsheet
  • Experience with UI Design/Workflow/Mock-Up Software like Balsamiq, Axure, Mockingbird, Visio and Gliffy
  • Experience developing mock-ups, product feature presentations and documenting user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria and workflows
  • Experience in validating and ensuring baseline user stories and acceptance criteria are met upon product releases and enhancements
  • Ability to communicate with clients, senior management, technical and functional teams
  • Highly motivated to succeed, passionate about continuous improvement, growth and change, flexible and adaptable in fast-paced environments
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of Telecommunications software MetaSwitch/Broadsoft and experience with software provisioning/integration
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of Billing/Accounting software
